Who We Are at New Jersey State Trapshooting Association
The NJSTA
The New Jersey State Trapshooting Association is the state affiliate of the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association). We are a conglomerate of Shooting Sports Clubs that offer registered and competitive trapshooting in the State of New Jersey. Our mission is to promote the sport of trapshooting, organize and sanction statewide competitions, and represent our members within the ATA. Our organization has a board of directors consisting of ATA members residing in New Jersey and delegates from each member club.
The ATA
The Amateur Trapshooting Association serves as the governing body for the sport of American style trapshooting. The ATA's mission is to promote and govern the sport throughout the world.
As the faithful protector of trapshooting, the ATA not only governs the sport's rules and regulations, but also seeks ways to enhance the sport and stimulate participation. Annually, ATA members participate in 6,000 plus registered tournaments and shoot at more than 55 million targets. With nearly 1000 gun clubs affiliated with the ATA you can find registered shooting just about anywhere.

Youth Trapshooting Programs in New Jersey
ATA - AIM Youth Program
The purpose of AIM is to provide a safe and positive experience with firearms and registered trapshooting for youth, elementary school through college age. AIM encourages good sportsmanship and personal responsibility through competition while establishing the foundation to make trapshooting a lifelong avocation.
